Gazing from above the Sarantaporos valley, the Oxia village established in the 12th century, but flourished after the 17th century, when the locals abandoned initially the Fetokos and later the Pastiliapi villages. It is famous for its skilled 'Bouloukia' that travelled as far as the Khartoum in Sudan. Active locals and the Union of Oxia preserve the picturesque village and the traditional ambience.
